Policies

  • Students may reschedule up to 1 Lesson per term (10 weeks). However, any cancellations must be communicated within the minimum time frames mentioned below, and the lesson will be made up respectively.

 

  • Cancellations due to emergency circumstances (such as illness) must be requested via text message or phone call within a MINIMUM 24 HOURS NOTICE.

The lesson missed will be made up sometime within the teacher’s weekly schedule. You can not use the missed lesson/s as credits for any upcoming term.

 

  • Cancellations due to foreseen circumstances (such as vacations, trips, etc.) must be communicated PRIOR TO THE START OF THE TERM. 

 

  • Cancellations which breach these conditions (e.g. cancelling within 24 hours, failing to attend or cancelling lessons) will incur the LOSS OF LESSON FEES. 

(Please note that this condition is due to the fact that our educators plan ahead for your lessons, travel considerable distances and always attend the agreed lesson time and location. Hence, they must be paid for their time and efforts).

 

  • If students are late to their scheduled lesson time, the teacher will wait for the students arrival and only conduct the lesson for the remaining duration of the lesson time slot. 

Therefore, please plan for any traffic, bad weather, and other variables, and do your best to arrive 5 minutes prior to your scheduled lesson time. 

 

  • The total cost of weekly lessons held during any given term are to be paid UP FRONT, no later than Week 2.

We will always strive to be flexible and understanding, however, we do appreciate your cooperation with this.

 

  • A grace period of up to 3 Days will be extended during our initial period of a new billing cycle. However, lesson fees which are not paid on time may result in the loss of your scheduled lesson time slot. Subsequent delays in payment may also incur LATE FEES.

 

  • If you are in need of any music or method books, your teacher will be more than happy to supply them. However, these books must be paid for IN FULL and IN ADVANCE before the order is made.

 

  • Once term lessons are paid for and lesson times are scheduled, we do not offer refunds, exchanges or credits for upcoming terms due to any circumstances outside of our policy requirements listed above.

 

  • Should you wish to discontinue lessons, we will require notice 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE. Please advise your teacher in person or via phone or email, or contact us at Epic School of Music.
